I haven't been shooting much lately but I still try to photograph something most every day. Usually while I'm out running an errand I look around for something special to show you. Something that catches my eye. I have this horrible fear of running out of photo's to publish! Ha ha!
Today I went to apply for another job. On my way there I looked for places to stop on the way home. I love this local river and had hoped I'd see someone out wading through the water, fly fishing, but there wasn't a soul around. I scooted down towards the water just a little more to look under the bridge and this is what I saw . . .
Many of the leaves here still haven't changed. You can see the green reflecting down onto the water giving it a very interesting color. I just thought it was really something special!
When I went up onto the bridge and looked down, the water looked black. How you look at things in life can make all the difference.

So who's watching the Chilean miner rescue efforts? Oh my gosh, it's so exciting! I can't imagine if it were my husband down there. What really freaks me out is that capsule. Nothing like being wrapped like a sausage for 15 minutes . . . shudders . . .

I've been watching it and feel the same way. It's amazing that they're all doing so well.

Yeah..going up for fifteen minutes in a cramped tube..scary..great rewards at the end of the tunnel..though i read about a few whos wives found out they had mistress ..could be interesting for a few of the fellas.

Yes, we've been watching the news on the rescue efforts and praying that all might go well! So glad they are this far already, when at first it was thought it would be December. It will be awesome to hear their stories.

I kept thinking... I know they said that most of them have lost 20+ pounds, but still... that is one tight looking tube. I can't wait to see the very last one pulled out.

really that green is just reflections? it thought that's the water's color. it is indeed special.

It's interesting that the Heron appears to you so frequently and in unexpected places. Did you know that the Heron represents Healing Medicine? In some native cultures it also represents Patience, Grace, and an Easy Going demeanor. It's also a Loner.
Heron is one of my Spirit Guides.

Oh what glorious photos. They are, well, picture perfect. I love them. I've not really been keeping up to date on the miner's rescue... we don't have cable or anything... just computer and netflix... but I will have to check online today to see how it's going.

Beautiful photos! I, too, watched the rescues in prayer for the miners. Thinking about how much I hate enduring MRI's, I can only imagine what being in that capsule would feel like! I'm sure they tried to focus on freedom and light just above!

Your photos are always captivating, but these with the heron are especially so - there is a serenity that suffused the images.
Magical! They are some of my FAVORITE birds...I love them and he is in the perfect spot for this shot.
