Two years ago when my husband had to go up to Vermont on a business trip, and I tagged along, I took a LOT of photos! Since then I've only posted a few of them. Here are a few more.
It was cold. Really cold, but I stopped in the cute town of Shelburne and took a few pictures. This is the Vergennes School house that was relocated from Vergennes, VT. You'll find a lot of good historic sites in this area. It has to be just beautiful in the summer!
Both the school house and the covered bridge (which is no longer in use) are a part of the Shelburne Museum.
It might have been cold but the geese didn't seem to mind one bit!
Years ago I remember coming up here for a car show my dad was in. It seemed like it took forever to get here, but it's so worth it. Next time I come back it will definitely be at least 50 degrees warmer! With the wind chill I think it was in the teens to low 20's. Brr.....
Originally I thought the mountains were located in Vermont, however, after thinking about it and looking it up on a map I do believe they are across Lake Champlain in the state of NY. As for the name of the mountain with the snow on it, that I do not know. If anyone else does I'd be glad to add it to the post!
Update: I was informed by one of my readers that the snowy mountain in the distance is most likely Whiteface Mountain just outside of Lake Placid, NY. Thank you!
A couple side notes:
* If you're on Pinterest and you love New England you might want to follow Visiting New England
* And if you used to use Picnik then you know it's going away in a few weeks. Picmonkey is being developed by some of the same people who used to work at Picnik. Quite frankly I think it's more modern looking and I like it better! Just an fyi ; )
