When Nature Calls

There's nothing like a leisurely afternoon of fly fishing in a beautiful New England setting

That is until Nature calls . . .

'Hello? Can you hold a minute? I think I have a fish on the other line'

'Never mind. When I picked up no one was there. So you were saying . . .'

Now what do you think the other guy was thinking of all this?

My husband would never pick up the phone..and if the other guy was my husband ..he would not notice the phone call..
He would only notice if the other guy caught a fish..LOL
Great captures Sharon!

Probably thinking "why doesn't he just toss that phone downstream". Musta been a CEO or something that he just HAD to take that call.

haha! Nothing escapes the roving eye of Sharon the Photographer. Birds acting silly, beware; fishermen behaving badly fear her...; )

Too funny. Perfect commentary!

I'll bet he was thinking he'd like the guy to be quiet so he doesn't scare the fish and would he please cast his line, you know the one with the sharp metal thingy on the end of it, in another direction away from me....

Oh, my gosh! This is hilarious. Great minds think alike, and it is so similar to a recent post I did with a single photo:
http://katespictureaday.blogspot.com/2009/06/i-cant-talk-right-now.html

I was so surprised to see it (during graduation, no less!) that I had to snap a photo.

When nature calls I was thinking of the bathroom, this was really a cute post! You happen upon the strangest sightings!

My mind went where Becky's did, and I was hoping you meant something else - LOL!

OMG.
I thought you were going to show him peeing in the river by the title you had.
I think it is a shame that he couldn't enjoy nature without the phone ringing and he shouldn't have answered.
The other fisherman must have thought that too...as he probably went fishing to get AWAY from phones....
sigh. He just didn't get it, did he?

Hey Sharon, Love the title! I too thought we might see a wee wee! Thank goodnes not! I would have been very annoyed at having to listen to him chat on the phone. Great eye sharon. I need to go with you someday to see what turns up!

Hi Sharon,
Your photos are just wonderful; so simple, yet so full of detail and life! I'm jealous of your abilities and that fabulous camera!

LOL! Isn't that sort of sacrilegious? I'd say the other guy was pretty amused as well.

Beautiful scenery. I'd like to try fly fishing. It looks so peaceful and relaxing.

Sharon,

There comes a time when you just have to put the phone down! He must be the President to some company.... but that's no excuse... when it's time to go fishing... it's time to go fishing!

When you get chance come by my blog and check out yesterdays post. I got a great shot of a butterfly.

Please, turn that damn phone off! Enjoy the peace and quiet of the day and the activity you were there to partake in.

I have to say, this is one of those times where I didn't know what I had until I pulled my photos up on my computer. Like you Steve I was shaking my head. I've never seen anything like it!

All I could think was that he must be a doctor, but who knows. How can anything be that important while you're out fly fishing? And if it is then stay home!

It was probably the guy's wife asking him to pick up a some milk and bread on his way home from the office. Wonder if he told her he was going fishing or was trying to sneak away for the day. HA! BUSTED!

That would be the last thing I would do..answer the phone!

If it were me, the phone would have ended up in the river. Lovely images, Sharon!
