There's so much beauty in this photo, not the least of which is that lone pine. And I love getting another glimpse of the New England stone wall. Nicely done!

As I look at your lovely photo, I seem to find myself waiting for a flock of turkeys to wonder out, a deer to cross the field, or a chipmunk to scamper across the stone wall.
I'm glad so many of you enjoyed this photo. In my mind I picture a couple adirondack chairs off to the right, or maybe two women in victorian dresses with umbrellas.
And no rain on this day! Thank goodness!
I've never seen the show One Tree Hill before but as I looked at this image it was the only thing that came to mind. It seems to work.
This is s beautiful place. Could enjoy sitting back in a chair reading a good book here. I really enjoy your blog and all the great pictures you always have. Barb
Me again! :) Thanks for visiting. Yes, she is a very contented, loved and lovable cat. She shares "HER" home with 2 mini. doxies and a mini chihuahau. :-) Glenda

What you can't see is that the field extends down over the hill. How I wish I could stand there on a perfect day and see forever!
Di, if the tree had a friend it wouldn't be so special ; )
Gorgeous!!
I love how you composed your photo of this beautiful place! And I like your title too ;)

Visit My Muskoka - it tells *my* story. tend to go on... :-)
That stately tree looks like a sentinel waiting the arrival of someone or something important to arrive over the rise.

Such a serene, beautiful shot. Typical N.E.!
We just moved back to Rhode Island after 16 years in California.
There's no place like home.

Great picture. I like your photo better than the TV show which I have never even seen.

Oh. My. God.
I want to crawl inside this painting and live in it. So beautifully captured.
It's what I call "a sterling day".
Beautiful Sharon.

Got over here from Chronicles of a County Girl...
Love your blog, and love your pictures.
The RTH is awesome.
I wonder how old that pine is and all that it has seen?
Oh so beautiful! Isn't it nice to see some blue sky, after so many rainy days this spring/summer? ;)
What a perfect photograph! You have such a good eye.
