Yesterday afternoon I had the very good fortune to meet two other New England bloggers for lunch in Newburyport. Elaine from Cafe Chatelaine, and Susan of From Beyond My Kitchen Window. We had an absolutely lovely lunch at Michaels Harborside restaurant and chatted like old friends! Thank you ladies for such a wonderful time!!!
After lunch Susan had to go home so Elaine and I took a side trip to Tendercrop Farm in Newbury. As we were heading into the store we looked to the sky to see this:
Kind of freaky!
Other people were looking too. Who knew what was going to happen next, but there was definitely some swirling action going on.
As ominous as the sky appeared the clouds finally began to look somewhat normal, like just a regular storm. Phew!

I'll confess, all I bought were fresh eggs and a muffin. Later on I wished I'd purchased the sign over on my sidebar. The one about being 'happy as a bird with a french fry'. A feeling I wish I subscribed to more often.
Did you have a good week-end? I had a very low key Mothers Day which is just the way I like it.

Oh, my ... I think I would have been ducking and hiding from those storm clouds! Amazing! Tendercrop Farm looks like a wonderful place. I really like the "Happier Than a bird with a French Fry". Maybe it will still be there on your next visit!

The cloud pics were amazing, glad it didn't develop into something dangerous. I love to shop at places like Tendercrop Farm, so much fun.
Wow! I would have definitely would have been uncomfortable with those clouds above ! :( We have had way to many deadly storms in my area of the country recently.

Happy Mothers Day! Those cloud photos are awesome! I once saw a real tornado cloud and it had a tinge of green like your pictures. An awful beauty about them, powerful. That is cool you had lunch with other bloggers, so nice, and the place looks sweet.

Tendercrop Farm...! We shop there every week for their meats and farm fresh produce. Have been for years. Love the photos you took. Aren't the wreaths and dried flowers gorgeous? To say nothing of their beautiful fresh bouquets.
I am glad for you that those clouds didn't amount to the type of storm I am sure everyone was afraid was brewing. Some lovely shots from your visit.
Whoa! That is one wild sky. I would have half expected to see the hand of God reach down at any moment. Very dramatic.

I discovered your blog on another site. Your photos are very beautiful. That sky looked pretty scary. I used to live in Florida, and it almost looked like a tornado sky. I now live in Washington State near Seattle. Have been here six years and have never seen an earthquake and hope I never do... Seems no matter where you live, there is always something.
