This past week-end we had another snow storm. It was a perfect day to go out and do a little shooting. Actually I did quite a bit! The snow was a bit sticky which is excellent for winter photos.
Winter is still trying to hold on, but spring is right on it's heels.
I'm hoping to go to a sugar shack this spring and smell the sap cooking. It's true nostalgia, reminding me of when I was a kid and my mom would put real maple syrup on toast for me. Or ice cream. Yum....
Oh yeah, saps a runnin' baby. Has spring sprung where you are?

Nope. Spring is still buried under snow, Sharon. But there are little signs of it...like, I could almost SMELL it in the sun today. ha! Loved your photos. Susan
Lovely photo of the barn! I love the little stream leading right to it. And we got a foot of snow with that storm.... ugh. We're going to be buried until Memorial Day I think.
More beautiful scenes! So classically New England. I always feel blessed to be able to live here. Today's cold snap down here was a reminder of how winter likes to lurk as long as possible, and you never can be too hopeful!

Spring has sprung here but we really don't get real winter so I can't say that it's a big deal that spring is here. Our peach tree is in full bloom and the fig trees are sprouting their new leaves. If I'm being honest, I really miss having four seasons...someday I hope to have them again.
Lovely winter photos! I do love the four seasons, but they are not equal in length! Winter always hogs more time for itself, lol! I'm grateful that our snow is not floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, or drought! We had a heat wave today - from -31C to -15C. Wooohooo!
Where I live looks about the same as where you live. LOL Beautiful pictures - love the barn and the sap bucket. I love the sugar bush and camps and should go to Kings Landing Historical Settlement for their Sugar Bush Weekend - if it ever warms up enough for the sap to run! Have a great weekend. Pamela

The red barn with the stream is such a wonderful photo, it took my breath away.
Spring is on it's way here, snowdrops and crocus are hailing the new season. Daffodils are due to come bursting through any day now.

These shots are gorgeous! Yes, we still have high snowbanks and cold weather...and I am longing for Spring in a big way. But, being a Northerner, we learn to be patient (and to try and ignore everyone else's blogposts of sprouting green and flowers) LOL

Spring started springing here and my daffodils are showing it. Today, however, is a bit chillier and nasty weather is on the way this week-end. Hoping spring reaches your house soon!

That first picture is beautiful!
Spring is slowly coming in the Midwest. The snow has almost all melted and today it's raining. Yay!
I love that first shot of the barn, a shock of colour in the white landscape, and the mounds of snow along the creek bank.
It's still quite cold for us here, although I sense spring right around the corner. She seems especially shy this year.
I have yet to experience sugar shacks and fresh maple syrup. It's a favourite childhood memory for The Frenchman, so I expect to experience it one of the days, soon.

It's trying to be spring in London although it's still very chilly. There's lots of nice blossom on the trees, crocuses, daffodils and a beautiful sunset this evening.
I'd love to go to a sugar shack. Tapping seems to be in all the New England blogs at the moment. We're really enjoying the maple syrup we bought in NH on honeymoon - it's delicious! x
Spring is springing up here! I've had the windows and front door open for the past couple of weeks! The trees and plants are coming back to life! I love Spring!

Love the bluebirds. We get a few up in the foothills, none in the city. I was thrilled to get my first chickadee this year after feeding birds for years. Our family has a summer house in Franconia that I get to occationally, never been in the winter and it looks so pretty. Id love to live there year round. Thanks for sharing your beautiful area and home.

Has spring sprung here? Well, I can actually see some of the lawn now and the huge snowbanks are gone down to just a few inches in most spots. I guess that does qualify as Spring!
