Mute Swan

*For some reason this photo mistakenly posted early with the incorrect title and wording, so I figured I might as well post it correctly.

Native to northern and central Eurasia, like many other bird species the Mute Swan was introduced to North America many years ago, mainly for it's beauty. Today the Swan is still admired for the same thing, definitely not it's sweet personality!

Sharon, I thought swans were graceful. In any event, she sure is pretty and her little chicks are adorable. Sincerely, Susan

They are so pretty!. I was on my way to an appointment yesterday and 2 geese very casually walked across the road in front of me and 2 other cars. We stopped and gave them time to move on & they acted like we did not exist. :-D I wanted to take pictures, but I had someone on my bumper. :(

A bueaitful shot. Swans are quite photogenic aren't they? Maybe that's why they are so snobbish.

Beautiful Sharon, is there a legend about the name I wonder?

I love watching the swans, but you are so right about their tempers! I saw one bite a guy because he ran out of bread!

A wonderful shot Sharon. I believe they can be rather ill tempered at times and one has to watch out for them.

Gorgeous shot Sharon! I've never been around Swans much so i didn't realize they didn't have a sweet personality.
