There's so much beauty in this photo, not the least of which is that lone pine. And I love getting another glimpse of the New England stone wall.
Nicely done!

What you can't see is that the field extends down over the hill. How I wish I could stand there on a perfect day and see forever!

Di, if the tree had a friend it wouldn't be so special ; )

That stately tree looks like a sentinel waiting the arrival of someone or something important to arrive over the rise.

Such a serene, beautiful shot. Typical N.E.!

We just moved back to Rhode Island after 16 years in California.
There's no place like home.

I love all of your rescued furry pals ;)

This is very impressive photography. Now, you and your friends can help me Make History. I am trying to see if it is possible to get 10,000 visitors in a short period of time on my new blog, Pick a Peck of Pixels. If you go there, please either become a Follower or leave a comment. You can come back each day to see and read something new. Your visit will count and help me Make History.

Great picture. I like your photo better than the TV show which I have never even seen.

As I look at your lovely photo, I seem to find myself waiting for a flock of turkeys to wonder out, a deer to cross the field, or a chipmunk to scamper across the stone wall.

I'm glad so many of you enjoyed this photo. In my mind I picture a couple adirondack chairs off to the right, or maybe two women in victorian dresses with umbrellas.

And no rain on this day! Thank goodness!

I've never seen the show One Tree Hill before but as I looked at this image it was the only thing that came to mind. It seems to work.

Oh. My. God.

I want to crawl inside this painting and live in it. So beautifully captured.

It's what I call "a sterling day".

Your photography is amazing! I stumbled across your blog via your comment at The Cottage on the Curve. I host a group for New England bloggers if you'd like to check it out. There's no obligation, just a list of people who happen to live in NE.

I wonder how old that pine is and all that it has seen?

Oh so beautiful! Isn't it nice to see some blue sky, after so many rainy days this spring/summer? ;)
