Today was a Beach Day

I hope these pictures bring you the same sense of peace I felt as I took them today.

I feel like I could decorate a whole room around this one photo.

The life of a Gull cannot be easy, but you would never know it

Ahhh, I love the one above too

Check out this guy! First he set up a camera on a tripod (at least I think that's what it was) in the grasses, then he went paraboarding. In 45 degree temperatures!

Just another day in New England

Yup, beach weather! You got to love it! I like the shots, especially the one with the foot path.

Your photos are beautiful! It does look cold - the temps were in the 40's here today, but felt colder.

Love the two pictures of the gulls by themselves. And yes, I could see a sunroom around those pictures! How far are you from that beach?

All of the photos are lovely. It reminds me how much I am looking forward to the beach next yet. I especially like the one in the middle where the seagull is sitting peacefully with the ocean in the background.

Such beauty in nature where you live.

That guy looks pretty cold to me, but what a fun sport!

Love the photo with the path to the water! Very nicely done!

Thank you everyone for the nice comments : )

Laura, I'm about 15-20 minutes away from the beach. The pictures of the guy paraboarding is actually a different beach than the one with the seagulls. However, it's just a bridge away.

Donna, for some reason I have never turned a picture in Sepia. Everytime I do I end up changing it back. Guess it's the traditional part of me coming out.

Beautiful beach and gulls, Sharon. Brings back memories of my winter strolls on the Delaware beaches.

Hello from another New Englander! We're up in midcoast Maine.

I linked over from Nikki's place at Blah blah blah blog.

I love your pics. Living in New England affords us so many wonderful opportunities to for photography...putting up with the winter is just a small price!

Those pictures are stunning! And I agree; seagulls must not have particularly easy lives but they seem content enough to just go with it. Maybe we can learn a lesson or two from them after all!
