Recently I happened upon a field absolutely filled, from one end to the other, with Queen Anne's Lace. Morning light is always best to show off the true beauty of nature. A little dew and a sunbeam or two helps things along.
These are but a few of the many, many photos I took. I hope you enjoy them.

Beautiful photos!

Lovely! So refreshing.
Did you know Queen Anne's Lace is an invasive species? At least here it is. It's a big "no-no" and they try to get rid of it. Who'da thunk!!!
I found out because I was clipping and displaying and snapping photos and loving on it when a friend (prairie restoration specialist) informed me that it's a "bad plant".
Huh. Sure looks good to me!
Oh Sharon, that is just so beautiful! I can imagine your excitement when you were snapping away... :)

Sharon, these are lovely ! They just mowed this field a couple of days ago, so it was a good time to get the pics.

Stunning as usual. You find the most beautiful places to photograph. I have always loved Queen Ann's lace.

Beautiful photos Sharon. I love the early morning and fog for picture taking. Enjoy the long weekend. Pamela
What gorgeous shots! Some were especially creative!
Wow! And then, wow some more! Especially the first Queen Anne's Lace shot. I don't think I've ever seen any in Arizona, at least not in the oven that is Phoenix.
Wow, these are stunning. What a gorgeous gorgeous spot. I love the bokeh!!
Queen Anne's Lace has always been one of my favorites. I've been known to raid a kind farmer's field, cutting handfuls to fill my home. The top photo is especially breathtaking. Thanks for sharing the beauty around you!
magic! pure prettiness!
Oh my! There's something about that first shot that really captures my heart. Lovely! ....then I saw that delightful little grasshopper and I smiled.
Happy Friday!
Sharon, I don't know what to say. They are beautiful. The light is fantastic. Carol
So beautiful! Great light!!
A neighbor of mine moved to Ga,several years ago. Loving Queen Anne's Lace, she asked me to send her seeds in the fall. She never did have success in growing it there. Since then she passed away and now I think of her everytime it blooms here in Illinois.I love this simple flower too. Thanks for the early morning treat.

Just wonderful! Sorry I've away from commenting so long.
Very nice pictures, it helps me hold on these last days of summer, jay
As usual, Sharon, your photos are wonderfully evocative. Thank you! BTW: that's a Praying Mantis not a Katydid. A Katydid doesn't have long spindley legs...same beautiful green color, though.
How I'd love to come across a field of Queen Anne's Lace! You've more than done it justice with these magical photos, Sharon. And the lighting is perfect! xo – g

Every post you make me want to go to the beach or garden or just get outside & enjoy life. Thank you for showing us this beautiful world through your very talented eye.

Gorgeous! What a lovely place full of flowers <3
The Royal Wildflowers ..... Gorgeous! And Katy is pretty darn cute too :)
I do love Queen anne's lace, especially when paired with lovely blue chicory. Your white field is a lucky find.

I love Queen Anne's Lace. It's one of my favorite flowers and brings back many childhood memories of cutting a stock of it and placing it in water with food coloring. It will turn the color of the water. As always, great photos.
Oh these are stunning .The second last is just gorgeous.
The Queen Anne's Lace is beautiful! Our is finished for the year ... it didn't last long!
