Here we go again . . . off to visit someplace else! I told you it was a very busy day-trip to Rhode Island!
The Art Cafe is located next to the town square in Little Compton. Honest to goodness this place has such a quaint hometown feel. I just loved it.
Food, jewelry, art ... there's a little bit of everything in this shop!
I had a hot mocha-latte. My favorite.
Don't you wish you were there too? The town center is utterly adorable. There will be more pictures of that later on.
If only I lived closer, I'd stop in for a mocha-latte more often.
Almost directly across the street from the Art Cafe, about 12 feet up in an old tree, was a hive of honey bee's. I'm not a bee person at all so I was a bit freaked out. But, they are just honey bee's so I figured it would be okay.
A little fresh honey with your tea perhaps? Good luck!
*Still two more places to visit. I do hope you're enjoying the trip as much as I did.

looks like a great place you took wonderful pictures of it. My daughter is going to be attending URI in September I wonder if it is close by.
Glad I checked in.....just lovely.
What a delightful town. I see many lovely items in the Art Cafe that I would love to own, did you make any purchases? Oh, and the old zinc planter filled with daises, love it! Have a great day, Julie.
I sure am enjoying my visit! What a sweet little shop. I love the rusting galvanized container of flowers and the bees nest. Great shots! Waiting for the next pictures. ;-)
Honestly Sharon, it's like looking at photos of a movie set! Like some place like that simply can't exist, but is intentionally created? I was just smiling and sighing as I went through those photos. It's the sort of place you can "take yourself to" in your mind when things are crazy around you. Thanks so much for creating such vivid, lovely images to store in my mind...
Now THAT'S just way too much cute and sweetness all wrapped up into one town. I want to move there right away.

That is the most adorable little shop I've seen yet. Keep posting as I'm taking this trip with you. Carol

I am enjoying the tour - thanks for sharing it with us.
Wow, what a cute little place. Loving this visit you are taking us on!
Charming place. Peaceful photos.
Better off for dropping by.

Love love love love that rusty metal container with the purple flowers! Charming!
This looks like my kind of place. However, I prefer my honey from a jar. :o)
i loved the art cafe!
What a neat little place. In your travels have you ever been to Wrights Farm Restaurant? It's in the northwestern corner of Rhode Island...Can't remember the name of the town. They have a website. Home cooking, a different place to visit.
It looks so quaint and lovely! The bees nest is really fascinating! I'm glad you were brave enough to get these photos (not sure that I would have been!)
Your photographs are fantastic, Sharon! Such rich colors. How do you make the double montages? In PS?
Sharon, looks like a perfectly yummy place!
I love your photographic eye!
Definitely enjoying! Love how you captured all the details. Looks like a wonderful shop. Packed full of beauty. :D And great bee shot!
I'm in the Pacific Northwest, but I'd REALLY like to go there! Great pics!
Blessings,

What a neat place! I can't believe you saw all these great places in a day! Can't wait to see more!
If I come see you will you take me to the art cafe? ; ) I love this post, I bet you knew I would. The bee photo is amazing, at first I thought those were birds!!!
How fantastic is this lovely little cafe!
Looks and feels like some of the shops around here. I would be completely at home there. Fresh air oozes from those outside shots.
You're killing me with these pictures! I'm already super homesick for Rhode Island and now I'm about to move again! Aargh!
my neck of the woods :)
beautiful pictures!
I always love reading your blog, because I feel like I'm in New England, even though I'm thousands of miles away. And it feels a little like home. Love the cafe - wouldn't mind a mocha latte myself :)
Love, love, love your bee pictures! Just as nature intended it to be. I used to be a bee keeper so I am always fascinated by them, Must have been a rogue swarm that found made their home in a hollow tree.

This looks like such a beautiful place to spend time, and your photographs of it are gorgeous!
OMG! I want to move into that cute little cottage! So much here to love, I can't even begin to list them all! What an awesome trip you had and great images!
I think your blog is great! I lived in Maine for 11 years and miss it dearly. Looking at all your beautiful pictures bring back lots of memories.

That looks like exactly the place I would want to have coffee. I love to find funky out of the mainstream places. They usually have the best coffee and the coolest people serving it.
They always seem to love their jobs. Maybe I should consider doing that!
Thanks for sharing, we were actually thinking about visiting last year when visiting New England, but couldn`t manage to visit all the places we wanted, it looks beautiful though, would love to go there some time. A happy weekend to you :)
Love your beautiful photos as always!
What a great place! I would love to drop in there, bees or no bees! But if we all stay away from the tree, we will be fine!
Just taking another look because it's so darn beautiful.
Beautiful place, (except for the bees, although you did get some great pictures of those bees:-), if I lived closer I would visit.
Thanks for the post!
Kathiey:-)
Darling, darling, just what I love and what more of America needs, this familiar, comforting feel.
Thanks for this. I'm going there.
Pocketful of joy to you,

Such an incredible place! I feel like I visited, too!! And I even thought the bees were cool!! Beautiful photography!
(thank you for stopping by & sharing your love for Char. xx)
What a time you had Sharon huh ??? Just wonderful and your pictures just about jump off the page...
So glad I popped by...
All the best,
Kahy :)
Oh my gosh, I have to go to this place. Can't believe I didn't know about this..., since I love coffee shops. We have coastal roaster within short walking distance in Tiverton, which is very cool too..., in a different way, right by the river.
