Summer, sweet summer

For the first time in a while, tonight was quiet in our house for several hours. I was all alone, and loving it. No kids, my husband was working, no TV, no barking dogs, no music, . . . just the sound of birds, my own thoughts, a beautiful sky, still air, and the feel of summer. Finally.

What I'm loving ...

Instagram. My husband shot, and texted me, the two beach photos while out on a 45 mile bike ride this past Sunday. The rose and strawberry images are my own.

I love the smell of this candle. Actually everyone in my family loves it. It reminds us all of the beach.
I love colored canning jars. The above Lightening jar is an oldie my husband dug up out of a bottle dump, almost 30 years ago!

I love a pink sunset

And I love fresh summer flowers. These Sweet Peas are perfect, though I must confess I scoffed them up from someone else's garden. Honest to goodness they had hundreds of them so I figured they would never miss four ; )

I love the white christmas lights I turn on every night in our living room on my display table.

Tomorrow (July 1st) is my day and I hope it's a good one. A relaxing one. Maybe a day to walk along the beach.

Thank you all for stopping by. I keep saying I'm going to catch up on everyone's blogs but it's not happening. The days seem to be flying by lately. I swear I don't know where the time goes!

I love the second sunset photo, with the lone spruce tree! Just perfect!
But I really have to get some strawberries before they are gone...

Hi Sharon... stopped by your blog last night but was too tired to comment.. when it's late my brain just shuts down.

I love the smell of candles.
In the winter when its dry I love to put water on to simmer with Cinnomon Sticks inside the pot. It is wonderful without baking. :)

Hurray for summer! It's pretty much summer year-round here, but I still find a little excitement stored up for July and watermelons and sunshine :)

These are beautiful images of summer. This year, I plan on taking a crash course for photography made for beginners. Check out my blog soon for it: sleepaway camp.
