Hello all! How are things in your little corner of the world?
I've been pretty much straight out the past several days. Last week I finished up working at the beach house. A bitter sweet moment. It was sad to leave but time to move on. Saturday we took my daughter to visit a local college, which was pretty much a day long event. Sunday I took both my girls and their friends to an amusement park for my younger daughters birthday. Again, a day long event.
This week I've started a new job and I'm trying to catch up with all that needs to be done. The job is going well, the catching up, not so much. If you've sent me an email and I haven't responded I will try to do so in the next couple days.
I thought I'd share some sunset photos I took last week. There's quite a few of them so I hope you don't mind!
On the plus side of things, our Hummingbirds finally showed up last Wednesday. Such a treat! Other people said they had Baltimore Orioles but I just saw our first one this morning. Catbirds have been calling too.
Now if the sun would just continue shining and the temps would come up a bit. And the price of gas would go DOWN : /

Such beautiful pictures Sharon!!! If our weather is any indication of nicer weather coming your way, then I should warn you not to get your hopes up. Been raining here since Sunday. Supposed to be sunny tomorrow and then right back to rain. It's getting rather depressing. At least you have the ocean to enjoy in all it's beautiful moods.
Cindy
I think you're right Cindy, it's definitely not just us with the bad weather. Even when it's sunny here it seems to be cool and windy. I'm just so thankful we don't have all that horrible flooding!
Eventually the sun will come out and the days will warm. Then it will be to hot. : )
That second photo would be my choice as a great keeper shot. Good job!
And yes, could certainly have the price of gas go down. It's hard to even want to drive anywhere anymore because I just see dollars slipping away when I do.

Beautiful pictures!! Signs of spring with the birds returning, but we need warmer temps on the prairies too.
Love the photos. You should try doing some HDR photography! I keep thinking of that when looking at these photos and the bright sunset. They would come out amazing. ...but don't get me wrong, they are amazing as they are too :)
Glad the new job is going well! You'll catch up, eventually. Till then don't stress and enjoy what very tiny little bit of nice weather we seem to get this week. :)
Cabin Fever in Vermont
Sharon, I enjoyed your sunset pictures today. It's been wierd weather here too. We get 1 or 2 sunny nice days then 3 or 4 cloudy, cold rainy ones! All those weather systems are dragging from the south and across the continent into Atlantic Canada and stay for days. I'm glad you have hummingbirds as that means they will arrive here soon too. Time to get the feeders out. I haven't heard a killdeer yet have you got them there? All the best in your new job! Take care. Pam
Sharon, those splendid sunset photos belong in a book! A coffee table beauty it would be. Think about submitting them, Sharon. You are SO talented.
Hate to tell you but temps are going to go UP and gas is, too. ha ha ha Sorry to be a harbinger of bad news. At least it's not snowing. Have a great day. Susan
Absolutely GORGEOUS photos! Feel free to post as many as you want!
They are all keepers - the 2nd one being my favorite.
Have a great week.
I can't wait to see the sun! Lovely pictures, as usual!
I love the sunburst photos! Sounds like you've been experiencing the same weather as most of the rest of the country. The sun has been a rare sight here in IL since we've been back.
It's been so cold this spring, the trees are late getting their leaves and the birds seem content to sleep in mornings. I don't blame them.
These are lovely shots.
Gorgeous gorgeous, love the light....
Beautiful sunset shots! Helped me pause and take a deep breath in the middle of a hectic day. Thank you! And I agree with you on the gas prices. ugh.
So much to catch up on while I've been diddling with flooding.
-Love your kitchen
-The photo DOES look like an Ansel Adams shot, and it's fabulous.
-My husband's grandma always kept her sugar, flour etc... in blue Ball canning jars. We have a few of them.
-I'm STILL jealous I don't live near a beach I can photograph. Sigh.
Awesome pictures!
Despite the weather, looks like you've had some awesome sunsets! Great shots all... make me want to hop in the car and head up there! ;-)
Absolutely gorgeous photos! I second that on the price of gas.
Wonderful shots Sharon, I do hope we have more beautiful sunsets in our near future. Finally the grass is green, spring shrubs and bulbs blossoming and bird song everywhere. As far as the price of gas goes, it is now OVER five dollars out on the Island! Such Is Island life. Happy Spring to you, Julie.
Oh yes gas could go down. I love these images so very much. Makes me long for the beach. Carol
The photos are just gorgeous, Sharon. I have been behind in reading blogs too...busy, busy busy..but so glad I caught this post today!!
Beautiful photos and a delightful blog! I found you through Dog Trot Farm. And I agree, here's to gas prices falling all over themselves!
~Andrea~
Sharon, wonderful shots! I definitely agree with all of your final comments!
gorgeous shots - the 2nd one really speaks to me.
hope you have a wonderful weekend!
beautiful, I really think these photos shine with your new plain white background!
Great photos! Love the seaweed shot. Is it Hampton or perhaps Rye Beach?
I love the New England beachy feel to each shot.
Hope you get a moment to catch your breath.
Having a bit of an argument with myself over which shot I love best. It would have to be the 2nd one. They are all just stunning. What a treat it is to come to your blog (and very humbling in the photography department)!
The light is so beautiful at sunset - everything has a different face that time of day.
Your photos are such beauties! I hope life slows down a bit for you so you can catch your breath. The weekend is just around the corner :)
Jo
Sharon these are so beautiful. Would you come on down to Texas and photograph my flowers for me in the back yard? I'll give you some cheap gas.... xoxoox
Sharon, your photos are just beautiful. You've captured New England coastal mornings perfectly! Have a wonderful day!
Just wondering if your clients would allow you to post your painting jobs, it would be wonderful to see. Keeping their identity confidential of course!
Whoops, I meant to say sunsets! LOL!!!
Hello, I just discovered your blog and it is lovely! Wow, you are an outstanding photographer, I am so impressed! I'm in Conn., so I love seeing other New Englanders. I just subscribed to you, via email, so I am looking forward to seeing future posts. Take care.
