Morning light for Mosaic Monday

The colors, shades, and textures of the new day are all around us to be savored and enjoyed. No matter where you live the first morning light is inspirational.

When you arise in the morning,
think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive -
to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love."

~Marcus Aurelius

Broken, devoured clams lay out along the beach wall. Evidence that the Gulls have had a morning meal to fill their bellies.

'Seagull you fly across the horizon into the misty morning sun
Nobody asks you where you are going
Nobody knows where you're from . . .'

I'm linking up with Mary's Little Red House for Mosaic Monday

Simply gorgeous, evocative images, Sharon. The light is glorious! I'm not used to seeing the sunrise over the water, having been a West Coast-er most of my life, it means sunSET to me, but I can see that it is in more ways than one a whole new horizon. I love the golden warmth in this post, too. Wishing you a wonderful week and Happy Thanksgiving! xo – g

Sharon,
Your photos are always stunning and worth waiting for. Makes me jealous I live so far inland. How I miss the ocean. You are blessed to be so near such extravagant beauty.

I love all the photos of the waves and the early morning light! The first one is my favourite - the light, and the water caught in mid-splash!!!

Inspirational is the perfect word to describe your gorgeous pictures. And you are so correct in saying that the first morning light is inspiring to all.

I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving and that you and your family are enjoying the long holiday weekend.

You have such a lovely blog with amazing pictures!

In 2007 I moved from Norway to Massachusetts to live there for one year, and during that time I got to see so many amazing parts of New England. And you make me miss it even more! I think I'll have to visit sooner than I originally planned!

I am going through a very rough time with family relationships right now. Your ocean pictures bring such soothing peace to my soul and the quote is so grounding and gratifying. I used to live on Cape Cod and get up to watch the sunrise often - summer and winter (always my favorite) I miss my soul's home terribly. Thank you for the lift!

What beautiful photos. I'm not a morning person but these make me realize what I'm missing. I will try to get up and take in the beauty. Thanks for inspiring me to do so.
