In the Pink

I cannot image my life without animals in it. There may be days when they're tearing up the furniture, scratching the floors, chewing up a sock, stealing food, throwing up, or worse, but the joy they bring to my heart on a daily basis far out weighs the challenges.

I love Lily and Winston.

My Girl

Lily's absolutely favorite ball in the world, the Squeaker ball. There can be a whole bag full of tennis balls and this is the one she will sniff out and find . . . every, single, time.
You can buy them in a 4-pack at Target.

. . . and that's the truth.

* Do you feel the same way about your dogs/cats?

Hi Sharon,
Love the pictures of your dogs. So nice to meet them. My pets will never sit still long enough to get pictures. I have two cats and a grandpuppy that comes to visit. He wrecks havoc with the household, but I love having him with me when I'm working in the back yard. There is nothing like a good pet to keep you company.

Look at those faces! How could you possibly resist such unconditional love and admiration.

My Bosco (all black shih tzu) has me wrapped around his little paw. La

I have two cats, sisters. Maggie & Dolly, adpoted from SPCA 6 plus years ago. Wouldn't trade them. I also have four ducks, truly pets. Live indoors in the Duck Hilton (a.k.a hubby's shop)they are getting up in age. At one time I had 12-15 ducks, all raised from ducklings by me.

My dogs... all THREE of them... are so much a part of my life I can't imagine them not in it. Oh, and there is my cat who thinks he is a dog. I <3 them beyond words!

You have the cutest dogs and you also take great pictures of them. Our dog has recently returned to our son as company for his own dog and I am missing him a lot ~ even all the dog hair and always being on the wrong side of the door!!
He was my excuse for going for a walk every day too. I may have to take him back.
Enjoy yours pups!

Oh, absolutely. My Charley (cat) is so very naughty and has scratched up my new couch (grr) but I love her to bits. Right this very second she is sitting next to me and purring her little head off whilst occasionally resting her paw on my hand, aw!

Your dogs are adorable! Gorgeous photos, too :)

Those are probably the best doggie photos I've ever seen! Glad your dogs are ~short~. If I tried that with Stella-dog, I'd have to stand on a ladder.

Your photos are truly amazing. The love you have for them shows through and through each shot. And I agree, I cannot imagine life without my two kitties. They are my world. I wish I could have you come photograph them!!!

Great shots of your paw-pals! I absolutely agree, our yorkie Maddox brings great joy to our home... wouldn't trade him for the world!

Lovely pictures.. It seems like they love to pose for you :-) I think dogs are the only pets in true sense. Only they love to be touched and pampered by man. Even cats get irritated.
Loved your post!

That photo is wonderful of your dogs sitting on the leaves!
I agree with you, totally. I have dogs and cats (the latter all raised by me as soon as I could take them safely from their feral moms). All different personalities make for a lively and loving household.

My bearded collie, Norton, loves me unconditionally, and drives me crazy sometimes, but the joy far outweighs the crazies:)
I love your photos, i wish your job was just doing your blog, it is excellent!

Love those sweet faces! I have a dog/baby named Rascal and we love him dearly. He thinks he is human and he pretty much rules the roost! He "chose" my son 3 years ago at the animal shelter.

Unequivically. I love my animals and would not be without one in my life, either. I completely agree with Gildna's comment, too.

We adopted two black lab mixes from a shelter a few weeks ago and I'm coming to love them. They are so good-natured and sweet, despite the mischief they get into. They like that same squeaker ball and I'm going to pick up some more tomorrow when I go to Target. That quote about dogs is true. Your doggies are adorable!
P.S. I mentioned you in my blog post yesterday! :)

You have GOT TO submit one of these (the first) in Pioneer Woman's contest. It just began today. Check out her site. Wow! These are fantastic. I don't even want to enter now. These are just that good.

Love your photos of your pups! Animals are such blessings I really can't imagine life without them.

Absolutely adorable pictures...so cute. The "that's the truth" caption is perfect.

I agree 100%. They cause a lot of cleaning and repair work and as frustrated as I get sometimes, I would still have a house full.

My Princess is the light of my life - with me 11 1/2 years now and I adore her. The feeling is mutual. I see the adoration for me in her eyes every time she looks at me. I'd do anything for her - even spend 3k on her earlier this year for her thyroid cancer, while being unemployed/under employed.

Good for you, Sharon. It speaks volumes about a person who cares for animals so much!!

Dogs and cats are the kids that never grow up and leave home! I cannot imagine coming home to an empty house! And it is time I posted more photos of my little monsters!

Oh I totally feel the same way about animals. I've had pets since I was 7 or 8 years old (a long time ago...lol) I've had cats, dogs, fish, turtles and I even nursed back to health a pigeon.

You can see their unconditional love in your photos. Your babies are so precious and cute beyond words. I have a 27 year old cat(no that is not a type-o!)and I have had him for 26 1/2 years when someone moved away and left him behind. My Cocker Spaniel raised him so he thinks he's part dog.
I do a lot of animal rescue work and can't imagine life without a wonderful dog or cat. Wonderful photos of your doggies.

I totally feel the same way about our dogs. They can be a lot of work and sometimes that gets me frustrated with having them, but I'd be lonely without them and life would have a lot fewer laughs as well.
