Phineas in repose

I'm not sure what I think of these pictures. I worked on all of them in Picnik but maybe they were overworked. What do you think?

Phin is such a handsome guy. He's a big wimpy momma's boy though. He loves following the dogs and I everywhere. In fact he has a special fondness for my mother in-laws Sheltie. The two of them are a couple comedians, playing hide and seek from one another.

The option Picnik offers for brightening eyes is wonderful! Unfortunately you have to subscribe to use it. I think they'll let you try it out but won't let you apply it to the photo.

Phineas always sleeps on my side of the bed because well, like I said, he's a momma's boy.
With a super long body and a full 12" long tail he's not exactly the most graceful guy, but I love him. Plus he's rather photogenic.

Btw, in case you're wondering, this is just how Phin likes to lay sometimes.

* I really enjoyed reading all the 'August ideas' so many of you left in the comments section of my last post! Lets hope we can all make the most of what is left of summer. In my eyes it's the most wonderful time of the year!

Sharon, Phineas has absolutely the most beautiful eyes for a cat that I've ever seen. Just beautiful. Susan

He's gorgeous and has commandeered that bed quite nicely.

Photos are not overworked by the way. Perfect!

Hi Sharon. The photos look great! He's so adorable. I love his coloring.

If you have time and really want to see an overworked photo visit my "Photos by Cindy" blog. I love the way it came out but I worked it to death!!!! Oh it's the Chrysanthemum photo.

Phin is certainly a star. His picture belongs on a magazine cover. Does he have an agent?

He is a hoot - love the poses! Samoa will definitely consider him for next year's Dreamboat list!

Phineas, sounds like a very regal name, your handsome man certainly lives up to it. Sharon, your header is just lovely, I feel as If I could step right into the photo and be part of the scenery.

That last photo of Phineas is hysterical. He just lets it all hang out! He looks like such a character!

As far as the photo quality goes, the only question I have is - what is the color of the pillow that he is lying on? Is it white? If so, then your white balance is slightly off. (Looks more like this in the first photo, third one in the before photo, and a little in the fourth one.)You can adjust that in photoshop or whatever you use (I assume picnik offers it.) You adjust it to slightly warmer or cooler and you can see the white color change to more blue or whiter. I've learned this by trial and error, believe me!

I love them all. He is absolutely, drop dead, gorgeous. And, he has that relaxed, James Dean pose down perfectly.

Celine love the Frenchman, but when it comes to serious lovin', she's my girl. She sleeps on my side of the bed, on my chest, and every morning, she's cuddled up to me on my pillow.

Hi Sharon,
I just found your blog and absolutely love it. There are two places I have always wanted to visit...Italy and New England. What a joy it is to see all of your beautiful photos!! I have looked around for about 15 minutes and it just made my morning!

Your Phin is precious. We have a seal point Siamese named Kritta that we adore.

Hope you have a delightful day! I'll be back to visit often!
Blessings,
Becky

He is sooooo handsome! And I don't think the images are "overworked" at all. They are wonderful!

Phineas is beautiful! I love his pose. How old is he? My orange tabby just turned 27...no, that's not a type-o...he really is 27 now! I was laughing reading your post because my kitty also followed my dog and me everywhere. He still follows me whenever he's not sleeping. I hope Phineas and you are enjoying a wonderful start to August.

Could I have your permission to sketch your cat? I love her face.

If not, that's okay. I don't sell my work, just sketch for my own practice and put it on my blog. I would link back to you.

sandy said...

Ohh...thanks so much!! I'm looking forward to this and will let you know when I'm done. You have great photos here, beautiful blog.

Phineas is done - I had fun with her.

Your cat is GORGEOUS and I do like the program option of brightening the eyes..I think it makes the cat's eyes even more striking than they already are!

You are right about the eye treatment! He is a wonderful boy, even if he is awkward! Just his personality!
