Hard to believe it's August 1st already! July went by fairly slow as it was a long, hot month, but once the page turns everything seems to change. Make the most of it! Enjoy Summer while you can, especially if you live in the Northeast like I do!

Eat outside ... walk barefoot ... listen to the birds ... swim ... smell a campfire or burgers on the grill ... take a long warm shower after a hot steamy day ... love the one you're with ... enjoy the flowers ... play in the garden ... eat fresh produce ... dress scantily ...watch the sunset ... watch the moonrise ... really look at the stars ... be grateful for all you have

I hope that August moves more quickly than July. This has felt like the longest summer ever!
I like your list as it is, at least for TN. If I were in New England I would add attend an outdoor concert, maybe go canoeing (we can do that here!).

Have you heard any forecasts for how good the Fall is likely to be this year and when it's going to best - fingers crossed it's the end of September for our honeymoon trip!

How about adding 'shop for school supplies'. I love buying new notebooks and pens although I don't have any kids at home anymore. Here in northwest Canada it seems that summer is just beginning - cool, wet July. We're heading for Arizona in two weeks to extend our summer!

Hope this works. This is Holland in Michigan where there is a large group of Dutch immigrants do live. They have there yearly feast with clog dancing and what else. The clothes are still not of this time. LOL
AS I said wooden shoes are still used but in the olden days maybe 150 to 200 years ago and before that everybody only wore them. As a child I wore them during the war, they are very comfortable and you never have cold feet. I am not sure if they are all still made by hand.

Lovely. here in Central Ontario, I have already starting to feel autumn in the night air..we have had a long warm spring and summer but the nip of autmn is just a wee bot too soon.
School in a months and the leaves start changing colour soon.

My additions would include:
Enjoy a sorbet, eat an ice cream cone, dangle your feet in a cool stream, row a boat, enjoy the beautiful hummingbirds, drink lots of ice tea and lemonade and enjoy the long days with the long shadows at the end of the day.
Oh, and enjoy the shade trees!
Paddle. No day is perfect without dipping your toes in the sea/a stream or the like.

I'm a fall girl, myself. I hate humidity! So if it's hot and sticky, I tend to stay inside!
