Roses on the river

This past week-end I woke up one morning to a wonderful fog. I can't remember if it was Saturday or Sunday ... they all blend together lately.

Anyway, it was a great morning for photography.

The wild roses smell sweet and pungent at the same time. A welcome flower that will last well into the early fall.

A little morning mist lay all around

Can you think of a better way to spend a peaceful, warm morning? It was early so there were only a couple other people in the area. Plenty of Herons, ducks, Gulls, and Cormorants to be found though!

In my next post I'll show you a few more photos from the river that great foggy morning. So nice to see you all again : )

Just lovely. Would have loved to have sat on that bench and sipped a morning cup of coffee.

What a very beautiful spot Sharon, and how special to be there at a time when it was so quiet and pristine.

What a gorgeous spot. I so admire photographers like you who actually get their butt out of bed in the morning to capture photos like these. I love the scent of a garden rose.

Yup, it is fun shooting the right kind of fog. We had such a fog Monday morning, but like a darned fool, I went to work! The shots are just grand.

Love the pictures. I can almost smell those roses. Have just walked along the Cornish Coastal Path here in the UK and the wild flowers were fabulous. They lift the mood for sure. Love your blog!

I can almost smell the fresh, clean moist air! New England is great, isn't it? I'm a native too. Love the rose with the dew on it. I wish I had the strength to get up very early more mornings. When I do, I'm always glad I did!

Lucky you, morning fog is beautiful and kind to photographers.

Those roses are so vibrant and crisp. They are jumping off the screen at me and I feel like I was there with you.

You really captured the beauty of the morning. Well done!

I love the dew drops on the beautiful rose and the brick sidewalk and bench. Great angle for that shot. Yeah, I could just sit on the bench and listen the morning sounds. Sigh.
