O Christmas Tree

Taken the morning after a small snow storm. Actually it was the same day I took the previous photo of the barn since they are just up the road from one another.

If you look closely you'll see a gentleman walking among the tree's. He was in the process of shaking off the snow from the night before. I think they look good just the way they are. He gave me a smile and a wave and went back to what he was doing.

* I'd like to apologize for having to implement word verification lately. I've also put comment moderation into use for posts over 7 days old. I dislike using either one of these as I think they are nothing but a pain, however lately my blog is being spammed like no tomorrow and it's driving me a little nuts. Asian porn must be big during the holidays or something.

Ha! I'm laughing at your spam comment. I often ask myself, are there really THAT many people with erectile dysfunction?

Anyway...the photo is stunning. I LOVE it. Perhaps you can PhotoShop him out for header purposes?

My goodness, I was basking in the glory of this post, and then I read "asian porn" and now I can't stop laughing!!!! VERY FUNNY!!!

You mean you didn't yell at him " HEY CUT THAT OUT " when he was shaking off the snow? : ) This is beautiful Sharon. I love the snow on the rocks, too, such a cool image. miss you.x.x.x.x

The gentleman in the photo actually adds to the feeling behind it. It's nice to have someone at work smile and wave a happy hello!

I find I am catching up again on my blogs, finally. This photo and the 2 previous are excellent - visual feasts - peaceful interludes. Thanks for sharing your work. (BTW - I have thought of dumping the word verification because it is such a pain, but your experience makes me think I should keep it)

Asian porn is always around. I hate it, too. Had to do the same to both of my blogs.
This would've made a great header. I love the one you have, though!

Very Pretty! Did you tell him to stop until you took your pictures? :)
I have been hit a few times with the spam also. :( The stuff that shows up daily in my email acct. spam folder is ridiculous.

You could just photoshop his *@# out of there...

I think the snow looks very festive too...from over here in my warm, cozy home.

I love the trees with the snow. Very beautiful. I agree it would make a great header. Sorry about the spammers.

Thanks all!

Actually I think I worded my post incorrectly because I really liked that there was a human element to the photo!

Hopefully we'll be getting a bit more snow before Christmas so it will make everything beautiful again. I love seeing the lights twinkle under a blanket of white.

The trees look beautiful with the snow on them. What a pretty scene.

Looks like you have had some crispy, crunchy cold weather up your way. Our snow came and went in a matter of 24 hours. I wish it would stay a bit longer just for the beauty it provides.

Hi there! Just found your blog, and have been enjoying the great photos and commentary. NH is a favourite summer vacation spot for us (eastern Ontarians) so nice to see some year round shots too.
Cheers!

Well, at least I am in good company with also getting spammed with the Asian porn site links. :c)

I'd never have noticed the man Sharon! Beautiful image.

THis looks like a Christmas card - minus the tree guy of course! LOL! I deleted the Asia porn comment from my blog. Might have to follow in your footsteps if it happens again.

What a great Christmas card this would make! I love the shadows on the rocks as well. Thanks so much for sharing such beauty!

Dear sweet Sharon,

I gasped when I came here because your header is absolutely stunning. The snow... sorry. But, it gives you the greatest photo opportunities, right?

Gee, it's been soooo long since my last visit.

Hugs,
Mary

oh dear! I hate spam! That is one beautiful photo...it is weird...when I look at pictures you take of New England, it is such a comfort. Right now I am suffering a break-up of my relationship of 5 years but when I saw this photo it chased the sorrow away a little because I thought to myself whimsically...I could just climb into that photo and be there, surrounded by snow and beauty and nothing would matter anymore...wishful, imaginative thinking but comforting nonetheless if only for a few minutes... xxx

Hi Sharon. Great header & everyone should have the option of taking a little snow home on their tree.

BTW this increase in 'spam' is not untypical at this time of the year & many of us over here (UK) have reverted to moderation, verification and NO anonymous comments.

Seasons Best Wishes, Frank.
