I know the last few days before Christmas can be rather stressful. Hopefully you are able to find some time to reflect on the beauty of the season as well as spend quality time with those you love.
Here at our house things seem to be fairly low key. No rush really to speak of. It's the first Holiday season in a long time where I've felt so relaxed. I figure if all else fails, give money or gift certificates.
The snow outside our door helps to put a little magic in the air.
Merry Christmas to all
*The top photo is just the way the gazebo looked as the sun was setting this evening. The one below has a translucent tone applied which I downloaded from ShadowHouse Creations. Click here for a great tutorial on applying textures to an image.

So very lovely. I enjoyed the moments, looking at the gazebo and can feel the chill in the air. Great job capturing such beauty! Sincerely, Susan from writingstraightfromtheheart.blogspot.com
I like what you did with that picture. It's so pretty.
Merry Christmas!
Liking both versions. Sweet gazebo.
I feel less stressed this year, even though I still don't have all the gifts bought yet. Oh, well. Strangely, I am not feeling overwhelmed about it.
Very pretty and this time I know right where you were! Merry Christmas.
Did you know that Exeter lights the streets of town with paper bag luminary on Christmas Eve? They go all through down town where most of the churches are and up out of town on High Street towards Hampton (route 27 I think)
It's so pretty and magical and if you get a chance on Christmas Eve you should take a ride over.
wonderful photos! So festive! Merry Christmas to you darling! Hope you have a lovely holiday! xxx

Wishing you and your family a fantastic Christmas and New Year Sharon. May 2010 be the best.
Love this gazebo.
The gazebo is so pretty. Is it in your hometown?
Have a wonderful Christmas.
Gazebos are very exotic to me.
I immediately thought of Gilmore Girls and the gazebo in the middle of the town... (Gilmore Girls actually got me so fascinated with New England). Looks magical!
Picture perfect with excellent lighting...Love the snow on the steps. Hope you had a great holiday.
I can smell the crisp air. Nothing is as beautiful as a snowy New England Christmas, except your cat ;) Luna. I'ma NE girl, myself.
I love your photos.
Hi Sharon! We had a quiet Christmas. Dinner at my mother's.
John has been feeling better these days. The doctor told him he was diabetic and put him on medication.
I've been looking at all your previous post. Looking at your pics. Lovely as always.
Hugs!
sharon....hope you had a blessed and special christmas.
we did get more snow, as we drove back and forth to missouri for the holidays in it. we now have about 6 inches and cant wait to get out in it tomorrow, even tho it will be bone chillingly cold. i bet dear backhoe hubby will be wearing more than shorts this week....hehehe.
can you believe how long those cuttings were lasting? glad your hubby liked it.
thanks for your kind words about my tasteful collections....such a sweet way to put it. thank you for your graciousness.

Beuatiful photos Sharon! So peaceful and calm.
Lovely photos! But whose idea was it to put the tree in the gazebo in the first place!! Congratulate that person as well!!! It was an inspired decision!
And in addition to giving money or gift certificates, there are also donations!!!
Your home and tree are lovely. Glad I stopped by for a peek. I am enjoying your blog very much. I am amazed that your animals get along. I have 2 very territorial cats who can't be in the same room. What's with that?
Pretty! Nice to relax during a holiday, isn't it?
So Beautiful!! I love how the tree just glows.
You have really great taste on catch article titles, even when you are not interested in this topic you push to read it
