Full Cold Moon

Yesterday MORNING (Wednesday) as I drove my daughter to the bus stop at 6:45 AM, I was floored by how beautiful the moon was. Big and golden, just amazing.

I didn't have a lot of time before it would be gone so I grabbed my camera, and Lily, and off we went to Great Bay, the only place I could think of with a wide open view.

Sure enough, there it was with no obstructions.

As the moon sunk down to the horizon it began to lose it's golden shine, but still, my goodness it was a sight to see.

Did you know if there are two full moons in a month the second one is called a Blue Moon? It doesn't happen very often though, hense the saying, 'Once in a blue moon'

Wonderful shots! I was admiring the moon last night too, but didn't have my camera ready!

Sharon, these are exquisite! It's difficult to get moon photos, I think. I love the color on these as well as the detail of the moon.
Yes, later this month we're having a blue moon!

Didn't know that's where the blue moon came from. Fantastic photos. How do you capture the moon with your camera? I can't figure out the settings for that type of shot. You did an amazing job but I am sorry about the 6:45 bus stop appt!

My moon shots always turn out awful.
Admiring yours, they are stunning.

I am not a morning person so I never get views like that.

Great photos! I have tried to take photos of the moon a few times and they were not so good. I need a better camera!

We've had a gorgeous moon for the past 2 days too. No camera at hand though to take some shots of it :(

Dear Sharon...What fabulous shots you got of the moon. You are a fabulous photographer. You should doa book of photos from New England! Sincerely, Susan from writingstraightfromtheheart.blogspot.com

There photos make my heart ache...the first one is picture postcard perfect and it reminds me of the beauty of New England and how I wish I could experience it daily, but alas...tis not meant to be. Still, I have you to give me a little of it every week which makes me happy. Thank you xxx

The moon was certainly amazing the last couple of nights and your pictures certainly catch that. Big and round and made people extra nutty! (I work in sales and oh! The questions and requests we get on a full moon!)

Pretty awesome images Sharon, was that the same little bridge we stopped at before to try to capture the fog? Sorry I missed your text yesterday, it's been crazy here lately.

Beautiful photos Sharon. I really like the first one. You can see just a little bit of it's reflection in the water. Very pretty. Great Bay looks like a great place to take photos.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sharon, the first photo is wonderful!! I love the reflection of the moon in the water, and the pink cast everything has!! And the o0ther shots, where it is just the moon, are incredible because you can see the details of the moon's features!!
I only wish we were not having so much cloud cover, so I can see the moon for myself!

This is a great travel blog you have here. I'm a first-time visitor, but I'm very impressed. I have a travel blog myself which I hope to be a top resource for those looking to go on vacation.

I'd like to exchange links with you to help spread some traffic around between each out. Please let me know if this is okay.
