What a gorgeous place to strap on a pair of ice skates and swoosh around, well, that is if there WERE ice.

Glad you are all enjoying this post. It was actually taken a few weeks ago after an over night snow storm. I still have a couple more posts to come from that morning.

The bay is actually tidal because it's connected to the ocean, so even though the water looks very still, it's not.

The ball you see is a mooring for a boat, though I can't ever recall seeing one attached to it.

I may be in Cancun, but these photos are lovely and it really does make me want to put on some skates and glide over the water until I'm ready for some hot chocolate. Sea Witch

Can I just say how absolutely beautiful this is, and I'm so glad to experience it through your pictures rather than in person because I would be freezing my butt off! It almost doesn't look real - the trees are so pretty!

These are just gorgeous pictures Sharon. I absolutely love New England, and I'd choose to live there if I could. We live in SW NY state not far from Lake Erie and the Penna line, and are smack dab in the snow belt. Last year we had over 130" of snow. Pretty normal for us.
About the Siskins. I saw only one! I can't believe it. Last year I had 100's of them. Maybe this is a scout:-)
Thanks so much for stopping by.
