All of these photos were taken in New Castle, NH around 7:30 am, hence the long shadows
You might be wondering why the red post is there next to the fire hydrant, not to mention that they are so close to the stone wall. It's because the road is about a foot away and it's a very sharp curve. In fact I had to stand in the road, watching my back the whole time, just to take this photo. I risk life and limb for you people. LOL!
So many old homes in New Castle and Portsmouth were built with the road going right by the front door. This family is lucky enough to have a little bit of a yard as a buffer.
And on the side of the house . . .
I can't help it, I'm just a sucker for flowers and white picket fences. Someday I WILL have one of my own.
Just a dab of morning dew still remains
I hope you had a wonderful morning!

Those hydrangeas are beautiful. Yep! A little out of my price range. :)
Extraordinary photos. I feel like I am standing in front of everything that you shot. Brilliant colors. Makes me want to get in the car and drive up to see you. Sea Witch
White picket fences with flowers growing over the top are my favorite things. Your photos are stunning. Thanks for sharing.

absolutely beautiful...those white picket fences do add such charm to homes. alas...
I am so happy that I get to enjoy your photo's as well as Joan's at the Retirement Chronicles...you both take such amazing photos. Thank you for sharing....:-) Hugs
Your shots are amazing. No place has rugosas like New England. Hydrangea closeups remind me of frosting flowers on a cake! It's a treat to visit your site. Thanks!
Hydrangea's give such a dramatic flare to a simple white picket fence. Lovely photos Sharon, Thank you.
Beautiful. I love Newcastle.
Lovin' these early morning photos and the colors... almost looks like springtime colors. I'm going to check out your real estate RIGHT NOW! hee hee... Hubby does not know it yet, but he MUST quit his job and move us up there before the snow flies... lol

I love your blog! Blogs like yours are why I started blogging! I love to escape to your part of the country! Those flowers are breathtaking! They look like someone made them up! They are just too perfect!
My neighbor brought me some of her white hydrangeas last night! The pink and purple are spectacular. Pick out any of those houses for me, Sharon. Did you say you were picking up the tab? The "cheap" one doesn't include a house - wow!
GORGEOUS flowers and pictures!
Your photos are always so amazing.
Rita
The hydrangeas are just beautiful Sharon! Love the contrast with all the white fences you see. Oh, and we'll take two of those "cottages." Tee hee hee!
So beautiful! I think the first photo is my favourite. Thanks for stepping into traffic to get it! The combination of white & pink flowers together with the fence & the roofline. Really lovely, magazine cover material. What IS it about white picket fences that are so attractive anyway...
Again beautiful photo's. THose hydrangeas are gorgeous.
Hi Sharon. These photos are gorgeous. I love picket fences too so I wouldn't mind having one myself. I really love the last photo in the post.
Thanks for the help on the butterfly. I think it's called a Fiery Skipper.
Those photos are amazing. I'm with you...I want a white picket fence of my own one day!! The hydrangeas are just beautiful.
Rebecca
They are beautiful but the 1st is my favorite. Those prices are crazy!
Sharon, I love your white pickets and flower shots!
So beautiful Sharon and I'm so glad you didn't get run over!
Oh, Sharon, those hydrangeas on that white picket fence.. I am drooling as I type. My dream, too! As always, your photos are stunning. I don't always have time to leave a comment but I try to visit often - I couldn't get over your photos of the banded hawk on top of the car dining on (ahem) a poor Sammy! I'm always in awe of the birds, flowers, creatures, and nature that you capture - keem them coming!!... Donna
Oh, be still my heart!!! ;)
What a beautiful series of captures. Love them. Barbara
thanks for risking your life for these photos, they were worth it. I too am a sucker for a white picket fence with beautiful flowers tumbling over. We just returned from Cape Cod and I got my fill of fences and flowers in Chatham. :)
Now maybe it is just me, but after hearing you wish for a white picket fence with flowers hanging over it, I would have to find a small one that would fit into a planter for you. Like the friend who wished for a gold caddy, and then I found one for her - from Matchbox!
Maybe you should be more specific!
These photos are just breathtaking. I feel the same way about flowers and white picket fences. These flowers are so beautiful. Can't get enough. Thanks for sharing.
