On Friday I had to stop by the grocery store to pick up my daughters prescription for a Sinus Infection (She's feeling better tonight, thank you). As we were leaving I looked up behind the building I noticed the sky was just starting to turn pink. That wonderful pink you love to see at the end of the day.
In the interest of keeping with a New England feel our grocery store just happens to have 2 weathervanes on the roof. I took a few shots (because I always have my camera these days) and then I noticed I needed to move to the other side of the parking lot, and quick!
Of course my girls always think I'm nutty when I act like this but I've pretty much learned to ignore it.
Sure enough the pink of the sky was at it's peak. Again more shots, move the car, more shots, and this was the one that was as good as it was going to get:
After all that can you believe the darned weathervane is crooked?! Oh well, what are you gonna do. lol! Di, do you think your husband could fix that?
I finally ordered a new camera this morning. I'm so excited! As you can see my camera just doesn't have enough clarity for distance and it frustrates me on a continual basis. The camera I ordered is the Fujifilm Finepix s100fs, the same one Mary has on Mary's View. It has great reviews and I won't have to be switching out lenses like I would with an DSLR. I'm more of an 'auto' girl.
In the mean time please bare with my fuzziness ; )

Leave it to New England to have weathervanes on their grocery stores! Have fun with that new camera!
The colors... ooooh, the colors are so wonderful and soft. Great job on the pics! AND, yes, give my husband a ladder and he'll be right up there to fix that vane for you.... tee hee....

I still thought the pictures with the pink skies were fabulous and the crooked weather vane just added rich character.

Good for you for always carrying a camera. You would have missed that awesome second shot of the weathervane.
I'm just now venturing into the DSLR and here you are getting out of it. Go figure. The pictures are breathtaking!
You did a good job. I'm guilty of always taking my camera everywhere.
