My daughter and I were on our way home from the beach last Sunday when I spotted it in a field. Our ride home is along backroads so the scenery is incredible. Anyway, I turned around, almost drove into a ditch, and took a couple quick shots. Never would I have thought the finished product would look as good as it does!
This has to be the most colorful Autumn we've seen in years!
This is a stunning photo! I have such a thing for trees and I'm aching for some "fall" around here (in SoCal) so this was just what I needed! Gorgeous!
Thanks for stopping by the 'stache contest - I love your blog! Looking forward to reading more...
Beautiful shot! I showed my girls and they were amazed at the number of leaves on the ground and the number of leaves still on the tree! My oldest daughter is in love with your pug- she's always wanted one. And by the way, I just read the comment you left on my blog about Victoria magazine- it is a nice source of inspiration isn't it? Take care!
Well that is just flippin fabulous. I can't believe you snapped a quick shot and created this magic! It has been one of the most beautiful falls here. I've been amazed by the inreal beauty of it. I'm so sorry to see the reds are fading. You need to frame this one!
I was talking to Ted about the beautiful trees in your area as we drove to pick up his Mom. Unfortunately, we don't get a good frost to turn the leaves this pretty, and we dno't have all the maple trees either. I told him I want to visit sometime!
That should be on the last page of Country Living magazine... (That's the first page I always flip to before I start reading the magazine because it is always a spectacular photograph accomplanied by a great quote!)... I'm not kidding - you should submit that... Donna
Lucas, yes it is a Maple, and a gorgeous one at that!
Laura, if you ever come to NE you better stop at my house! With a little advanced warning of course ; )
I'm so glad you all liked the photo! I was thinking of going back and photographing it again this winter from the same spot after a snow storm. Maybe even a 4 season thing. We'll see!
That is a beautiful picture. I found your blog through my friend Alyson's and I love it. I'm a native New Englander too, originally from suburban Boston and now living in Connecticut. I've been to your state of NH a lot over the years--it's so lovely!
You left a question on my blog. I have never used Photoshop. I have now loaded Photoshop Elements to my new computer, but have not figured out the first thing about it. I do use Picasa to change to b&w or sepia. That is about all I can do after I have taken the photograph.
Thank you for the visit. Looks like our interest are very similiar so I figure we will be seeing each other around.
Wow!! This must be what fall really looks like1! I wouldn't know... I live in Houston, Texas. Arrrggghhh!! We don't see pretty trees like this. Great photo!! ~Jill :)

Beautiful Sharon - I like your credit line too! is there a little copyright symbol @ the end?
big hugs
What a wonderful tree!
I loved it.
Is it a maple?
No copyright symbol Nancy. I do think it would look fantastic hanging on a wall though!
You need to share some of that fine Texas scenery with us Northerners a little more often ; )
Love that picture, especially the stone wall right under the colorful tree. Looks so New England!
Stunning photo. Nothing like a New England autumn. Out west, we don't have nearly the same range of colours.

Breathtaking. Just the kind of thing we need to see when the wind starts to bite.

Hi Sharon!
I just wanted to say thanks for checking out my blog! It needs some work but is slowly getting there.
YOU'RE THE FIRST TO VISIT ME! Other than my BFF Tara over at Life as it is...
Thanks again!
