A Few of my Favorite Things: Pumpkin Style!

This time of year I love ALL things Pumpkin! Eating, Seeing, and Smelling! Here are a few of my Favorites!

The Pumpkin Spice foam pump soap that sits right next to the kitchen sink.

Clean hands, a great smell, and it has a seasonal look! Perfect! Everyone in the house loves this delicious smelling soap! (TJ Maxx $4.99)

Spiced Pumpkin Yankee Candle on a cool evening! Yup, it sure smells like Fall to me. Go out and buy one for yourself! You'll be thinking Autumn Harvest, Pumpkin Pie, and the smell of dry leaves in no time!

Dunkin Donuts Pumpkin Muffins! A Managers Special available for a limited time only. Believe me, these are incredibly good! Especially with a cup of coffee ; )

Speaking of coffee . . .

International Delight Pumpkin Pie Spice Coffee CreamerAs soon as I saw this in the store I grabbed it right up and tossed it in the shopping cart! I like a little coffee in the afternoon to warm me up and give me a second wind. In the fall Pumpkin Pie Spice Creamer is the perfect flavor for a chilly afternoon. Like the muffins, it's only available for a limited time. Enjoy it while you can!

Pumpkin Spice Flax TLC bars
Kashi Rocks! I love these granola bars! Healthy, nutritious and delicious ... the perfect snack!

Little Debbie Pumpkin Delights No nutrition here, but I still love 'em! We've already gone through a box of these little yummy treats. Kind of spicy, like gingerbread, but still delicious!

One-Pie Pumpkin or Squash filling

Never heard of it before? That's probably because you don't live in New England. There's no better pie filling out there. Made in West Paris, Maine by the One Pie Canning Co., their stuff is the best! Unfortunately I have to settle for Libby's on occasion, but I'm not happy about it. My mom has purchased One-Pie since I was a little girl and hated Pumpkin Pie. Good thing I grew up to enjoy the best of the best!

Pumpkin Squares: If you have little kids they would love these as a snack! You will love them because they aren't too sweet and they're super-duper easy to make : )

Pumpkin Squares

2 Cups Flour
1- 2/3 Cup Confectionary Sugar
2 teaspoons Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
Dash of Salt
2 teaspoons Cinnamon
2 Tablespoons Wheat Germ (optional, but I add it to almost all my baked goods for added nutrition)

Stir dry ingredients well. Add:

4 Eggs (slightly beaten)
1 Cup Oil (I use mostly Apple Sauce with about a Tablespoon Canola Oil)
1 - 16 oz. Can of Pumpkin

Mix all well. Pour into a greased 10x15 in. pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Top with Cream Cheese Icing (I keep it easy with canned, or you can use the recipe below)

1 - 3 oz. container Cream Cheese
1/2 Cup Margarine or Butter
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1-1/2 Cup Confectionary Sugar

Mix all well. Frost. Enjoy!

And lets not forget, Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Soup (which I have yet to find a good recipe for), Pumpkin Seeds, and Pumpkin Bread! Oh Great Pumpkin, you rule my senses in the Fall!

And I just saw an ad for Pumpkin Krispy Kreme doughnuts - my mouth is watering! I've got bunco at my house Thursday and was looking for a dessert. I think I'll try those pumpkin squares. They look DELICIOUS, and I wish I had one right now!

Hi Sharon - nice to meet you! DH and I returned from our trip last night. The foliage was wonderful as usual! So much better than last year. If you read back in my blog, you know I LOVE fall and your pumpkin list fits perfectly into it. As I sit here getting ready to post about our trip, I am sipping coffee with the pumpkin spice creamer in it and eating the pumpkin spice Kashi bar for breakfast. The perfect way to start this cool morning. Enjoy your trip up north!!

What a fantastic fall-y post! I stumbled on you from Endless Possibilities and had to add you to my blogroll for the week. I'll be checking in! My toddler boy is calling pumpkins "punkins" right now and I LOVE THAT!

Yay pumpkin yummy stuff! Yay fall! I love this time of year. The only thing that would make it better would be to live near you in New Hampshire.
ps Howie also likes pumpkin.

Linda,
What are the chances that you would be eating both of those items as your reading my post?? Too funny! Glad you had a nice trip with DH. I think the foliage was dull last year due to a lack of rain. This year the leaves are certainly making up for it!

Alyson,
Spicy candles and the smell of a fire ... nothing better in fall : )

Glamorous,
I'm glad you found me too! I'm going to check out your blog next!

Tutta la storia,
Toddlers are SO cute in the Fall! I remember it well ... the big leaf piles, Fall crafts, Pumpkins, costumes ... try to enjoy every moment! It really does fly by!

Nancy,
I wish you could be here more than you know. I miss you. We could sit on the back deck wrapped in a blankets sipping Pumpkin coffee and eating some delectable, high calorie dessert!

Sharon - I just made the pumpkin squares tonight. I loved the consistency of the "dough"! It sure made the house smell nice. I'll put the icing on tomorrow. I was soooooo tempted to take a taste, but I'm saving it for Thursday's bunco gals!
