Once we were at the beach (about a 20 minute drive) things calmed down and we had a wonderful walk! Low tide is the best time to go!
As you can see, I'm sticking with an orange Halloween theme. I loved this shirt in the store but now it sits in my drawer being bypassed for the most part. I look like a canine Life Guard!
I had hoped to go back to the beach this week, just the two of us, but due to the almost constant rain, we've been hibernating in the house! Summer's not over yet though!
Believe it or not neither dog even likes the water! We walk just far enough away so they can enjoy it from a distance.

You're so lucky to have that beautiful beach only 20 minutes away - but, hey, you already know that! I'm sure the not-so-fun-part is cleaning up the paws when you get home!
Goodness sakes, we had sand for 2 days! Winston is fine, it's Lily. Usually I give her a bath when we get home but I didn't feel like it. BIG mistake! All worth it though : )
Thanks for visiting my blog! I didn't realize the female cardinal was a baby too... I could tell on the boy since he was so mottled. : )
I love your doggies!! Furrie friends are the best!
Sharon, I don't know what happend to my 1st comment!
I enjoyed your post and it made me want to visit New England very soon. The pictures on the beach were were so nice and relaxing, I could 'almost'..feel the waves on my feet. Your sweet furry members seemed to be in their heaven loving being with you and in the water. You also looked beautiful in the orange blouse and it complimented your dark hair. Our first home in the 70's had orange counter tops and it was such a cheery place to cook. Orange doesn't just have to be in October.
Have a wonderful day! Beth
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. It is nice to meet you. You live in such a beautiful area it makes me want to take a vacation!
Have a lovely weekend,
Jen
Sharon, thank you for coming to visit us! Being only 20 minutes away from the coast, you have a better chance of getting out to see the Tall Ships than I do. I wish I could make it, but I probably won't. I'll have to rely on my coastal friends to get all the shots for me.
I love your orange shirt! You should wear it. It is so bright and cheerful that I am sure it would be hard for people not to smile and be cheery when you wear it.
I am going to add you to the list of NH blogs if you don't mind and I hope you come back and visit often. If you would like to be a part of what we do, check out the Flickr NH Group.
