Happy Halloween!

When it comes to Holidays I do what I can to decorate, but because our house isn't very big, too much stuff can tend to look messy. So here are a few, but not all, of the decorations we currently have on display.

This is a GREAT book for kids! I highly recommend it!

Elise worked so hard decorating these Whoopie Pies but then my pictures came out blurry : (

They sure were good though!

The light-up decoration below has been with us for years. It has a few battle scars from being packaged up so many times, but it's still cute.

Not much, I know. I'm a minimalist. All craft items were handmade by Elise. Stop by her blog sometime!
And have a frightfully good Halloween!

Simple Arrangement

All stems were between $1 and $2. Though I must admit, to me it looks a little sparse. Since I'm headed to the Mall today and Michael's is right there, I'll have to pick up a couple fillers. Besides that, it's cute. The table could also use a white runner too.

And I already had the container : )

Have a pleasant Sunday!

A Day at the Beach!

Look at what we saw perched on the lines over the water right after we arrived at the beach ... a handsome Belted Kingfisher! If you've never seen one be sure to check it out HERE to view close up photo's of both the Male and Female. They are really a unique bird species.

And now, it's onto a day at the beach, as told by Lily!

~~~~~~~
WOOHOO!!! Mom didn't tell me we were going to the beach! My favorite place in the world!
Except for the water ... whoa ...
But if it's the only way to get there, then so be it. After all, there's dogs, and seaweed, and shells, and birds ... and ... and ... lots of other great smelling stuff!
First Mom and I have to model for a bit. I'm quite the beach babe, wouldn't you say? No bikini or waxing necessary! The boys like me hairy.
More modeling, only I'm not in this picture (who knows why because I should be). Isn't she pretty? Elise and I had fun running together. She even drew my name in the sand!
Mom and I always like to come to the beach during low tide, that way there's plenty of room to roam. Of course she doesn't always plan very well, but today she did okay.
Ahhh, 60 degrees and perfect!
Oh gosh, what's that! Is there something in there? Is something moving? Is it going to attack me???
Seriously, what IS it! I don't like new things at all. They make me sooo nervous!
Mom says it's okay so I guess I'll have to trust her for now. Man I sure think those barnicles look scary though.
There's Elise again! She and I were so happy to have mom all to ourselves for a little while. That doesn't happen too often!
FRIENDS! I found FRIENDS!!
WOOHOO!!!! Look at us girls go! Today Rocks, it really Rocks!
We really weren't even to sure we liked each other at first, and I never caught her name, but us ladies know how to sniff things out.
This little Puli's name is Adesh. She was pretty chilled and seemed to like everyone and everything. She even came with two girls around Elise's age! They kept calling, "Adesh! Adesh!" which they said means sweety, or something like that.
I'm going to sleep good tonight! This has been the best day I've had in a long time!
And what you don't see is that after we went home, Elise made a big leaf pile for Winston and I to play in! Mom said it might help get some of the sand off my feet.
If only everyday could be this good : )
A few Meows from Phin
I just wanted you all to know ... I live a very stressful life. It's a struggle just to get through each day.
Mom won't even buy me a bed big enough for my ever maturing body! Half my body is hanging out onto the floor for goodness sakes.
Can't you see the distress on my face? Someone help me!
I mean look at these blue eyes?! How could she resist pampering me??? I should be living like the King that I am! A King with an extra long bed!
Red fingernail polish is fine. Just so long as you don't try to put it on me. After all, I'm not the Queen ... I'm the King!
And don't you forget it ; >
More Fall In New England
I love, love, love this house! It's absolutely adorable! The only thing I don't like about it is that it sits right on main street. Besides that it's perfect! I can only hope it's as cute on the inside as it is on the outside.
The girls and I went on a little nature walk together. When we found an old picnic table I had them lay on it so I could take their picture. When Elise first sat on the top, it almost fell over! Needless to say the table as seen better days and it's well weathered. Instead they both climbed on at the same time so it wouldn't tip. Love this picture! Just look at those blue eyes! They didn't get them from me or their father. Yup, it was the grandparents.
A & E
Funny how they didn't even realize they were holding their hands the same way until AFTER we viewed the picture. Andria sure has a strong affinity for that hat of hers!
Another view of those gorgeous Hydrangea's from the previous post. Gorgeous old Hydrangae
I'm thinking I need to print one of the pictures to frame and hang in my bathroom.
Our local farmstand has plenty of pumpkins to go around! They made a wonderful display incorporating oodles of corn stalks that begged to have somone photograph the moment.
More pumpkins at the ready in case you can't find the perfect one ; )
Pumpkin Bins
Waiting for the Great Pumpkin to appear!
A plethera of Pumpkins!
I thought this scene was so pretty. It's the end of the road, literally.
Fall Foliage
One more beautiful Hydrangea, only this one is a tree. Wish it were mine!
I'd say this house if fairly old as are most houses on this street, but what I really love about it is the flowers growing on the fence. Perfectly New England.
